At Lightwire, we understand how crucial a reliable internet connection is for your daily life. That's why we're dedicated to providing you with the best possible experience.
What Do We Promise?
We are committed to delivering a minimum download speed of 20Mbps during off-peak periods and 10Mbps during peak times. Peak times are defined as 3 pm to 10 pm—when everyone’s home, streaming, and using the internet. Our goal is to ensure that even during these busy times, you can enjoy a smooth and consistent internet experience.
How Do We Achieve It?
Our residential network is 100% owned and operated by Lightwire, which gives us full control over our network and its performance. While all networks experience some level of contention, our dedicated team continuously invests in expanding our network capacity to keep up with growing demand. Unlike many larger providers that use congested 4G towers, we focus on maintaining high performance and minimizing disruptions.
How Is It Measured and Enforced?
If you experience speeds that fall short of our commitment, simply let us know by lodging a support case. To help us diagnose and resolve any issues, please measure your download speed using a device connected to your Lightwire router via ethernet. If that’s not possible, a wireless device close to the router will also work. Learn how to run a speed test here
Our support team will work closely with you to identify and address any issues. We’ll look at your speed tests and other diagnostic reports to ensure we resolve the problem effectively.
If you need any assistance or have questions, don’t hesitate to reach out to our support team. We’re here to help you get the most out of your connection!
