Running a Speedtest

In today's fast-paced digital landscape, having a reliable and fast internet connection is essential for both personal and professional activities. This page provides guidance on running a speed test, allowing you to assess your upload and download speeds effectively. You can run the speedtest via your phone or computer. If you are using your phone or a device connected via WiFi make sure you are standing close to the router so you can get a more accurate result. 

Find the Internet Speed Test:
On your phone or computer, go to a website called "speedtest.net." That’s where we’ll run the speed test.

Pick the Server:
Before you start, you need to choose a special server called "Lightwire Ltd - Hamilton." Look for a little list or button that says, "Change Server," click or tap on it, and then find " Lightwire Ltd - Hamilton " from the list.

Press the Big GO Button:
Once you've picked "Lightwire," you'll see a big button that says "Go.". Click or tap on it to start the test.

Watch the Numbers:
Now, you'll see some numbers spinning around. It's like a game where your internet is racing. The higher the number, the faster your internet!

Check the Results:
After a few seconds, the spinning will stop, and you'll see some results. These tell you how fast your internet is. The first number is how fast you can get stuff (Download), and the second is how fast you can send stuff (Upload).
