If we are experiencing an outage you can check out our Network Status Page
1. Check the Cables
Go to your Lightwire router and find the blue WAN port.
Ensure the cable is firmly plugged into this port.
If not, find the POE injector (a small box with 2 ports and a power plug).
Connect a black dish cable to the POE port and an Ethernet cable from the LAN1 port on the POE injector to the blue WAN port on your router.
If everything is plugged in, proceed to the next step.
2. Check POE Injector Power Light
Look for a light on the POE injector. If it's on solid, the POE is powered.
If there's no light, plug the POE directly into the wall and check again.
If the light is blinking, the POE might be faulty. Give us a call and we can send out a replacement.
If the POE has a solid light but you still have issues, go to step 3.
3. Check Router Lights
Check if the power light on your router is on and solid.
If the WAN light is on but the internet light is off, replace the cable from the blue WAN port and check again.
If the WLAN light is off, WIFI might be turned off. Press and hold the WLAN button on the side of the router for 5 seconds until the light turns on.
4. Restart Router and POE Injector
Unplug both the router and POE injector for 60 seconds.
Plug them back in and wait 5 minutes for the connection to reset.
