WiFi has "Weak Security" notice

You may find that when you connect to your Lightwire WIFI network, your device says that it has “Weak Security”. This most commonly happens on Apple devices. This isn’t an immediate security concern, as your Router uses 2 forms of Encryption methods to secure your data. 

Apple devices do not like one of those methods (WPA) as its fairly old now. The Router will use the newer Encryption method first, and then the older one as a fallback, so despite the message, you will still be protected.

While the message isn’t much to be worried about, our Support Team can always disable that older Encryption setting on the Router so that the warning won’t come up anymore. Feel free to reach out to us to get that changed.
