Setting up your connection for the first time

This guide assumes there is already a Lightwire Dish installed at the property. If not, please reach out to us to organise an installation.

The Equipment you’ll need to set up your connection is:

Lightwire Huawei Router	An Ethernet Cable (Will be included in the box of new Routers]	A PoE Dish Power Adapter

Locate the Black Dish Cable: Find the black cable that should be coming into your property, usually through the wall or the floor. It will likely have a metal head on it.

Connect the PoE Adapter: Plug the PoE Adapter into a power socket. Then, connect the black dish cable to the "PoE" port on the adapter.

Set Up Your Router: Plug your router into a nearby power outlet. Take an Ethernet cable (typically blue or yellow) and connect one end to the blue "WAN" port on the router. Connect the other end to the "LAN" port on the PoE adapter.

First-Time Setup: If this is your first time setting up the router, it will automatically connect to our servers for the initial configuration. This process usually takes 5-10 minutes.

Connect to the Wi-Fi: Once the Wi-Fi network named "Lightwire" appears on your device, it's ready to connect. Enter your Wi-Fi password, and your device will connect to the network.
