When subdividing it's essential to demonstrate to the council that reliable internet and phone services are available for the newly developed lots. This proof is a key requirement in gaining council approval for your subdivision.
As the go-to rural broadband provider for fast wireless internet in Waikato and Bay of Plenty, we are here to assist you with the documentation needed to confirm telecommunications services at your subdivision.
Whether you're subdividing one lot or several, our Rural Development Manager Paul can take care of the assessment in just one visit.
Subdivision Scope Fees and Details
If you need a subdivision scope or proof of telecommunications services for council consent, we offer the following services:
- 1 Lot: A fee of $500 (excluding GST) applies for an on-site visit, regardless of the outcome.
- 2 Lots: A fee of $1,000 (excluding GST) applies for assessing two lots.
- 3 or More Lots: For three or more lots, please contact us for a tailored quote.
All lots at the subdivision site will be checked in a single visit. While the fee is applicable regardless of whether coverage is confirmed, we strive to conduct all preliminary checks to ensure a high likelihood of success before visiting. Please note that written confirmation is only provided for services using Lightwire’s core network.
What to Expect During the Visit
Once on site, Paul will assess the connection according to our standards. If any lots fail to meet our requirements, we will explore alternative solutions to provide reliable service.
Our Rural Development Manager, Paul, will oversee the entire process, ensuring your project meets council requirements. After completing the on-site checks, we will issue an official letter confirming the availability of telecommunications services for submission to the council.
If you're subdividing land and need documentation to satisfy council conditions, we've got you covered!
