Simple steps to manage your plan in your Home Portal.
If you need to cancel your Lightwire Mobile plan, you can do it yourself in your Lightwire Home Portal.
The portal will guide you through the cancellation steps and show you what will happen before you confirm.
Before you cancel
- If you want to keep your mobile number, you’ll need to port it to your new provider before your cancellation date
- Your service will stay active until 11:59pm on your chosen cancellation date
- Your SIM and mobile number will be deactivated on that date
How to cancel your plan
- Log in to your Lightwire Home Portal
- Open your mobile service
- Click Actions
- Click Cancel service
- Review the cancellation details
- Choose your last day of service
- Enter your cancellation reason
- Confirm your cancellation
What happens when you cancel?
- Your Lightwire Mobile service will stay active until 11:59pm on your chosen cancellation date
- Full monthly billing will continue until then
- Your SIM and mobile number will be deactivated on the cancellation date
- Once your cancellation is scheduled, you’ll receive a confirmation email and SMS
- If you want to keep your mobile number, you must port it to your new provider before your chosen cancellation date
Your cancellation date
We’ve automatically selected the end of your current cycle, (This will show in your Customer Portal), as your cancellation date.
You can review this in the portal before confirming your cancellation.
Cancelling before this date
You will still be billed in full for the current month.
Cancelling after this date
You will be billed in full for the next month.
Frequently asked questions
Can I cancel my mobile plan myself?
Yes. You can cancel your mobile plan through your Lightwire Home Portal by selecting Actions, then Cancel service.
When will my service stop?
Your service will stay active until 11:59pm on your chosen cancellation date.
What happens to my number when I cancel?
Your mobile number will be deactivated on your cancellation date. If you want to keep it, you’ll need to port it to your new provider before then.
Will I get a confirmation?
Yes. Once your cancellation is scheduled, you’ll receive a confirmation email and SMS.
Will I still be billed if I cancel early?
Yes. If you cancel before the end of your current billing cycle, you’ll still be billed in full for the current month. If you cancel after that date, you’ll be billed in full for the next month.
