Better calling, wherever you are.
WiFi Calling
WiFi Calling lets you make and receive calls and texts over WiFi, even when your mobile signal is weak or unavailable.
It works in New Zealand and overseas, and feels just like a normal call.
There’s no extra charge — it uses your plan’s minutes and texts.
Good to know: You’ll need a compatible phone and the latest software installed.

- Go back and tap Calls on Other Devices

VoLTE
VoLTE lets you make calls over 4G and 5G instead of older mobile networks.
This means clearer calls, faster connections, and fewer dropouts.
You can also keep using data while you’re on a call.
Good to know: Most modern phones already have VoLTE enabled.
Check your VoLTE settings
If you can’t find a VoLTE setting on your phone, it’s likely already enabled.
Steps can vary depending on your device.

- Open Settings
- Go to Connections
- Tap Mobile Networks
- Make sure VoLTE is turned on
iPhone & iOS
- Open Settings
- Tap Mobile
- Tap Mobile Data Options
