I'm moving soon, what should I do about my internet?

It's never too early to let us know if you're moving addresses soon! If we're setting up a new connection it often takes 2-3 weeks for an installer to visit. So the sooner we know the better.

Just register your move online at https://www.lightwire.co.nz/moving/ or give us a call on 0800 12 13 14. 


Getting set up at the new place

When you register your move with us online or by phone, you'll find out whether or not your new address is in coverage for Lightwire Rural Internet. If it is, we'll let you know whether there is Lightwire already installed or if we need to send out a technician. We don't want you to be without internet, so we'll try our best to ensure that you are online on your moving day, or as close to it as possible. 


Leave the connection intact for the next occupants

When you move, please leave behind all of the Lightwire hardware for your internet connection including the router, POE injector (little box next to the router) and all cabling. This is to make it easy for the next occupants to get connected. We'll send you out welcome card to place by the router to let the new occupants know that Lightwire is already installed.
